Ukrainian melodies

«Ukrainian Melodies» - is a debut album by young jazz singer and composer Alina Zalozna independently released on 2nd November 2022, recorded with Ukrainian jazz musicians in Kyiv at Kaska Records Studios. Album consists of 10 Ukrainian folk songs presented in Alina’s jazz arrangements. Most of the melodies she knows from childhood or heard from the famous singers like Nina Matvienko, Kvitka Cisyk, Trio Marenych, some of the songs became popular and important among society since Russian invasion in 2014 and 2022. All authentic melodies are naturally blended with contemporary jazz and latin rhythms, combined with common jazz harmonic and melodic language. The main point of this project is to share and spread Ukrainian culture all over the world.
